This software tool is able to recover data from corrupted back up file.
There are many ways that a back up file itself can get corrupted. This could lead to major trouble, particularly if you do infrequent backups. One good back up may be several days old and thereby would need a large effort to get back to the current point. This tool can help save you from that kind of hassle. Corruptions can happen due to several issues/events including unexpected backup interruption, windows backup software malfunction, corruption of a hard drive, virus or Trojan infection, sudden system shutdown or system software failure. Whatever may be the reason, the problem can be acute if you cannot recover. This software will repair the BKF database without much of a problem. The feature that can prove to be really useful is the ability of the software to restore original file creation dates of extracted files. This would be important for regulatory requirements as well as in litigation, e-Discovery and Forensics.
There are no size limitations and this tool can handle arbitrarily large back up files. You are supported by an extensive search facility to locate the right file by extension, size, type etc. The tool is simple to use and does not need much of an technical expertise to handle the operations. You select the file to be repaired from the file/folder structure tree on the left and ask the software to go to work on it. You can see a preview of the content of the file to ensure you have the right file. The tool is able to work with the BKF files created by Windows and Veritas backup. It works with Windows right up to 7. good to have this insurance around to ensure corruption of a back up is not a disaster!
